I started some extensive renovations at the end of October, including vaulting a ceiling in an old addition on my house. To my surprise, I opened the ceiling to find numerous leaking areas through the sheathing on the roof including a number of other stains–the previous roofers used shingles on a low-slope roof. It was already November, and I needed to replace the whole back roof. After contacting a number of contractors, Popejoy not only came across the best but also had a reasonable quote–not the lowest, but not the highest. Not to mention they use Malarkey shingles, which are really good quality and can last a long time. I worked with Abraham who was always responsive and very easy to get things scheduled/figured out. He also gave really good advice when he came out for a consultation. They did a great job on the roof especially considering it’s December and it needed to be done quickly. The crew was in and out in less than a day installing both a low-slope roof system and normal shingle portion as well as cutting in a new ridge vent. They also did a great job cleaning up afterwards. I would definitely recommend looking into Popejoy for whatever roofing project you have.
